Depending on where you live Dalton GA which is on the boarder of TN is where we go. They have many carpet mills there. You can buy top quality at 50% off what you would pay in stores. They can ship it back to you. When we purchased we lived in a different state and did not pay sales tax.

Look for carpet warehouses or a place that sells remnants. Depending on how big of an area you need to carpet, you can find really great deals on carpet remnants. They also make great area rugs when you have the edges bound.
