All you have to do is take your dog to the vet and bring the papers with you on which vaccines he or she has had and the vet will let you know which ones he or she is due for. There is a vaccine that you need to give your dog 1 a year for rabies.

I rescue animals all the time and I'm still alive. Dying from rescuing an animal never crosses my mind. If you're taking your dog to the vet for it's shots and checkups, I don't see any reason that your life will be put on the line. You're vet will determine when the right time is to give your puppy its rabies vaccination.

GET A GRIP!!!! Rabies is rare - all you need to do is to keep the pup close to home (peferadly in your sight) untill he's old enough to get a rabies shot. He would HAVE to be bitten by a rabid animal to get rabies so just don't let him go off coon hunting without his shot being done. A vaccinated dog has a microcopic chance of transimiting rabies (there have been more cases of human rabies from organ transplants than from vaccinated pets!)

You're kidding, right? You don't really think rescuing dogs will put your life on the line do you?

Vaccinate him. Rabies vaccine is required by law. Other vaccinations should be given according to your vet's recommendations.

He is old enough to get a rabies vaccination at 12 week old.

This couldn't be easier - get him vaccinated for rabies - that's all it takes to prevent rabies.

Who is giving this puppy his shots? You should be taking him to a vet where they can tell you what shots he needs and when he needs them. Don't be trying to play vet if you don't know what you're doing. It could be more harmful than helpful if you are!
