What difference do you think there is between religion as it is “on paper” and religion as it is practiced? and why?

I know many people who are members of certain faiths and their beliefs do not correspond with the 'official' doctrine of their church.

Why, because many people recognize a particular truth, but there are partial truths in various religions . . . but not the full perspective of God. Rather than listening to the voices and partial truths of the world, gospel standards are based on eternal, unchangeable truths.

Finding that "truth" - that complete truth, is what we're all looking for.
