I do not know what causes this, but I have had this too. Mine only comes when I have a headache, sorry I can't help more.

Pain in your eyes, could be caused from many things, for example eye strain, eye fatigue, migraine headache, sinus problems due to a cold, sinus infection or allergies. Then there is the usual...stigmatism. Go see an eye doctor, an opthamologist...get your eyes examined. Make sure you don't need glasses or reading glasses. Make sure you work in a well lighted area, and reduce the number of hours you spend in front of the laptop or other computer screen.
You can get a gel eye mask, refrigerate it and lay it across your eyes to cool and soothe them. Get plenty of sleep so your eyes can rest. But otherwise, just to be sure, go have your eyes examined. You'll feel better knowing for sure what's behind the pain.

It means you should stop doing that. Go see a doctor. Eye exams are relatively cheap.
