It is not their place to tell you what you believe or don't believe. Ignore them. They aren't worth your effort. Just smile and walk away.

I would tell the person that believing in the 6-day creation isn't what gets you saved. Believing in Jesus is what gets you saved. However, if you believe in Jesus, you should probably also believe what He says, which is that God created the heavens and the earth in 6 days.
So really, I believe that you can still be a Christian and not believe in the 6-day creation, only because believing in that isn't what makes you a Christian. However, I think it would be difficult to trust God with all your heart if you put more faith in what scientists say than in what the Bible says.

I would believe they are not a real Christian. We have no idea if the 6 days were as a thousand years each or what. People cannot know those things, but we do know God did not put things in the earth to fool us. He did not predate the creation he made, because if He would mislead us that way, He could not be believed in anything He says. God is true and every man that does not believe God is a liar, as the Bible states.

I would say: "Not so." Many churches, in particular the so-called Fundamentalists, insist that the days of creation mentioned in Genesis, chapter one, were just twenty-four hours long. Of course, since Jehovah God, the Creator, is all-wise as well as all-powerful, he could well have created all things mentioned in the account of creation in six twenty-four-hour days. But from such evidence as that found in the rocks of the earth and by astronomers’ telescopes, it does not seem that he did so.
There is a misunderstanding that the earth itself was created during the six “days” of creation. The Bible record indicates that the universe, the starry heavens, as well as this planet earth, were created BEFORE the first of earth’s creative days began.
The six creative “days,” therefore, involve the creative acts of God in preparing the already-existing earth for human habitation, and not the creation of the earth itself. There is nothing in the Genesis account, then, to contradict the scientific conclusions of modern scientists that the material universe, including the earth, may be many thousands of millions of years old.
BTW, what do the days of creation have to do with being a Christian?

I would say that the definition of Christian is: "Professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus".
So if you believe in Jesus you are a Christian by definition. It makes no difference if you accept the 6 day creation.

I'd say, "show me an EXACT literal quote of Jesus saying that, please. And as follow-up, I'd like an exact literal quote of Jesus in the Gospels (NOT the post Ressurrection visions) saying, interpret the Bible literally word for word."
He used analogy, he interpreted the "Old Testament non literally... so why do some Christians claim they are the only ones, based on their literal Biblical foundations?

God did create everything in 7 days that is His word. I guess he is saying if you don't believe the word then you are not a christian.

If you believe in Christ you are a real Christian, period...though I would encourage you to believe all that God has said!
But there are no perfect, all knowing Christians...therefore, you do not need to believe a certain way regarding all of the Scriptures, only that Jesus is your Lord and Savior.

hmmmm, sense the Bible is not clear on the subject of time, I would rather think God could and would make all things according to HIS time, not ours...... I do not really agree with the 24 hour day thing..... I would think, sense God has existed for infinity, that he would see time that way..... I year to God is probably more like a 1000 years of maybe even 10000000 years....... who knows........ and what does it matter ?? Time to God is just that....... HIS TIME........and as for the *real* part, who can really make that call ??His name is called God !!!!! and TIME has NOTHING to with salvation !!!! go in peace...... God bless

I wouldn't go that far. I would simply understand that they don't have a handle on that part of Scripture, yet. God will show them that He meant what He said.
