The answer is pretty obvious. Influenza is caused by the influenza virus.

A nonagon (also known as enneagon) has nine sides and nine angles.

Influenza is the flu caused by a virus. There are many different kinds so it depends on what type of influenza you are talking about to say what specific virus causes it.
