ok.
there is a staircase.
you are at the top
ther is also 3 light switches at the top.
there a light bulb at the bottom.
you can only go down the stair case once.
you cannot see the lightbulb OR the light from it
from the top of the staircase.
HOW do you figure out which switch turns on the lightbulb??

Turn on two of the switches, leave on for about 5-10 minutes. Then turn one of these off! go to the bottom of the stairs, where the bulbs are! It a bulb is on, you know what switch works that one, it one bulb is off, but hot, you know that switch, and the other one is cold and you know what switch works that!

Wedgemom has a great answer. following her process if the bulb at the bottom of the stairs is off but hot when you check you'll know its controlled by the switch you had turned on for a few minutes then turned off. If it's off and cool, you'll know its controlled by the switch you didn't turn on. And If it's on, you'll know it's controlled by the switch that's still on.

You can assume that the light bulb is On and then have one down. So when you go down you know which one turns if off so you have two to choose from. I'm half way there

if you flip two switches and two things come on upstairs then you know which one works the one on the bottom of the stair case

ok i say that you try one switch go a little ways down the staircase to see if it worked. if not, go back try another until u get the right one. i know you said you can only go down the staircase once, right? well, i only went halfway down not all the way. so ha! lol.

go to the bottom screw the bulb in the socket and go back up and flip the switches
