Yes it is.
For example, Sam Kinison was a professing Christian preacher that renounced his conversion.
When you deny the power of Jesus and its application for the redemption of your sins, you are in essence denying that Jesus was raised from the dead-- and thus committing Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, THE unforgivable sin.

Once you have been born of the spirit you can't say I've never been born of the spirit, although you have reversed your spirtuial direction since you got saved just makes you a backslider in need of repenting.Satan has decieved many and that is why we should follow the word of God from the bible and the leadership of the holy spirit.Jesus did not die in vain,he said a way would always be made for us be delivered from temptations. He that endures to the end the same shall be saved. It is those that finish the race that wins the prize which is heaven forever.Hope this helped.God bless.

It is one of many lies that satan uses.
Jesus told a parable of a man who went out to sow some seed. He talked about 4 different kinds of ground.
Of those 4 types of ground, 3 received the seed and brought forth the plant. Of those three, 2 of them died out.
That doesn't mean that 3/4 of the population will receive the seed of the gospel, but only 1/3 of those will remain true. What it's saying is that even AFTER the seed is planted, and there is growth, that the plant can die.
"Those who continue to the end shall be saved"

Dude many people can fall away from God. Once saved always saved is not the real truth. When christians got out doing whatever like drinking, pick on fights, drugs, and crimes they slowly fall away from God and then lose him completely. The only way to prevent your slef from this is to follow God and know that he is whatching your every move. So try to keep your eyes on him and listen to what he has to say. He knows everything and he can help you out with any type of situation. Hope this helps! God Bless you!

I guess it could be for those who really don't get it. While many look at themselves constantly to figure out if they sinned, they are not keeping their eyes on God. Trusting God through Jesus Christ is what makes me a Christian, not my adherence to the works of the Law. As time goes on, He changes me according to what He wants me to be. So the Law is there in case I need to be reminded that I am a sinner, but God places my sins in a 'Sea of Forgetfulness', and will not remember them.
So it depends on where I am focusing. I can believe that 'once saved always saved' is true. If I am in error with that it really isn't going to matter, my life is full of claiming God's promises and trusting Him for what He said.
All that other stuff I might learn later, the truth of it I mean, but my heart and will belongs to Jesus, who keeps me whether I believe 'once saved always saved' or not!

Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Since salvation is totally a work of God according to the Scriptures, then there is nothing we can do to lose what God has given us, and done in us. Obedience to the law does not bring salvation, unless you have kept all the commandments and laws perfectly since birth, I doubt you have done this.
Rom 8:29 because whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brothers.
Rom 8:30 But whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
Rom 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

He that overcometh, like I overcame, will I grant to sit with Me.
He that believeth to the end, shall be saved.
When I come will I find faith ?
Faith comes by hearing what the Spirit is saying to the church, and this faith comes by the Word of God.
The Holy Spirit is given to those that OBEY Him.
Saved translated means "delivered".
Get back to the first church, not the Whore of Babylon, the first church. Before the Romans got involved and integrated the heretics with Government. Listen to what the Spirit is saying to His church.....and not to mans doctrines.

It's certainly a very problematic belief that has no Biblical basis. Christ calls us to obey and persevere in our faith, not just pray a prayer one time and live any way we want while still calling ourselves "Christians." Check out the first link below.

Nah.....Once you truly accept Jesus into your heart, you're saved no matter what!! People backslide away from God and Christianity sometimes, but when it comes right down to it...it's you that left God, not that God has left you!!
