I agree with Robin. Nobody is going to get offended, but by wearing the Valknut you're painting a target on yourself for Odin. He's known for testing people. Sometimes by taking away what's really dear to them.
Wearing the Knot means dedicating yourself to Odin with your deeds, your blood, every breath of your life. Read this poem, you might get the idea:

Anyway, it's your decision, but I advise you against it if you're not dead serious in your dedication.

Most Asatruar would not be offended, but I would give a note of caution. The Valknutr is normally a sacred sign of the Warrior. If the Valknutr is worn it communicates to Odin you're willingness to die in battle, and he's not a patient god, nor does he tolerate much foolishness.
Everyone I know who wears the Valknutr in some way and is not an actual military person or something similar has something disastrous happen to them, regardless of their personal beliefs (there were two Setians, and one Wiccan).

Yeah.... Not an Asatruar, but I know a couple of Odin-sworn, and I wouldn't recommend it. Not for their sake, but yours - Odin occasionally likes to lay claim on things, *especially* if they're marked with the valknut. Adding on the eye patch as well, and that might grab his attention.

I agree with the rest of them. If you want Odin to test you, and he's known for doing just that, by all means, please wear the eye patch.
I prefer my amber Mjolnir, but Thor and I have been speaking since I was a small child. Recently with my going through menopause, every time I have a hotflash now, we have a cold snap. Very kind of him but it's not good for the soybeans.

my husband is agnostic/atheist
and loves the stories of Odin and has a great interest in Asatru
he has Odin tattooed on his neck
I doubt that anyone will take offence to you showing respect for Odin even if it is not your religion
edit
I have heard the tales about getting the volknut tattoo and strange deaths
thats why I convinced hubby to get the word Odin instead
eek

I wouldn't do it, but it's not a matter of respect or disrespect.
The joke among heathens (i.e. Asatuar) around this neck of the woods is that the Valknut is symbol whose meaning roughly translates as "insert spear here."
Then again, since you're already missing the eye... the risk is arguably reduced. ;)

Forget Asatruars, you'd be offending the millions of Pastafarians out there. Think about that. Do you really want the wrath of His Noodley Appendage coming down on that ***?

LOL I wouldn't be. You can respect what the gods stand for even if you don't believe in them. As long as you aren't disrespecting the faith, go for it. I still have rosary's in my house. They remind me where I come from and I think they are pretty.
