i thinks its alright i am 16 and i drank a beer or two every night in Germany, Austria, and Greece and i enjoyed the taste of it(especially with pretzels). If you think you can handle it then i think go for it and if you can let your parents know you're a responsible person then you might be able to have it once in a while during dinner or parties throughout the year

You know the correct answer. You just want some validation to make it ok.
As far as beer having almost no alcohol, it is all relative. If you compare beer to vodka, you might have an argument. But the bottom line is that you can get trashed from drinking anywhere from 4-12 beers, factors are guy or girl, how fast you drink, wieght, tolerance developed over time.
I assume you would be trashed if you drank 4 beers in 75 minutes. Thats when you start doing stupid stuff that you regret.

NO.........You are only 16. You have to be 21 to drink alcohol. And beer is not almost no alcohol. It can have as little as 5% to as much as 12%. Granted that is not as much as hard liquor, but it is still enough. What is it about beer that you like? The taste, the feeling you get from drinking it? The feeling of doing something wrong? The feeling of doing something illegal? Feeling like you are doing something cool? It is important to know what your motives for drinking are. Think about it for the next five years and maybe you will discover you don't like drinking after all.

I would not drink at the age of 16, either it be a beer a shot of hard liquor. Wait til you turn 21.
If you fill the need to drink so bad.....Go to an AA (Alcohol Anonymous) meeting with someone you know. You don't have to say anything in the meeting. Just listen to the stories they share.
I was 16 when my step father took me to an AA meeting and had me listen to the stories. Let me tell you, Its uncomfortable sitting in there at that age and hearing the stories. They are up front and honest with the stories. Some get emotional, some get very upset. It made me think twice, before popping a top of Coors Light. I waited a month after I turned 21, to have my first beer. 23 for my first shot of hard liquor.
What ever you decide, be smart, be safe and please DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.
I lost my biological father due to a drunk driver. The huge void in ones life is never filled after losing someone you love.

OK is vague idea.
Legally speaking, it is not OK for you to have a beer. The person who provides you with it could get in a lot of trouble.
Healthwise, a beer now and then would be OK. In some countries the legal drinking age is 16, and in some cultures small amounts of beer or wine is served to children.
Of course you should also examine other consequences, such as what your parents would say or do about it.

Your question indicates your age level and naivete and [innocence]:
In the first place, where are you obtaining your beer? It is illegal for you to possess beer, drink it and share it with others.
Speak with your family doctor, nurse or other medical specialist as to your inclination for alcoholic spirits.
Your young body needs the food triangle, not malted alcoholic beverages, even including the so-called non-alcoholic beers!
Better get some first class information: Beer has anywhere from six percent and up of alcohol content.
You are on a dangerous path, one which may ruin your youth, your health, your mind, your social relationships and very definitely your future!
Too bad there is not a parental guidance in place for you instead of the public forum of Yahoo however GREAT IT'S AGENDA IS IN REALITY!
Remain sober my son!

I am someone who believes that the legal drinking age should be lowered, but sorry I don't believe it should be lowered to 16. There are just some things that 16 year olds cannot handle, and alcohol is one of them.
And while beer has a relatively low alcohol by volume count, I am not sure that a 16 year old can stop before he or she goes too far.

They have plenty of alcohol. 1 beer is about equivilant to 1 shot. So you can get drunk pretty fast. Wait a couple years. I was about 18 when I had my first beer. At sixteen, you body isn't quite ready for it, and mentally you are definitely not ready. It affects you more at that age. Plus, as someone else said here, you can get in a good bit of trouble for it. But the person who gave it to you can get in more - in Washington it's a felony. Plus the trouble you would get in with your parents if you were caught, it just isn't worth it until you are an adult.

While I shant condone the use of underage drinking. One should never underestimate the power of beer. It's 5-7% average is equal to that of a shot of 40% alcohol. So a 6-pack is more than half a mickie.

Alcohol, is just one of those things that people love, despite all of the ill-effects proven by science. Much in the way of smoking, high fat diets, cola drinks, processed foods, etc.., we as humans can't help but love all that is bad for us.
Alcohol, is a diuretic (it makes you pee) and can deprive the body of water. Long term use of alcohol will damage the GI system, not allowing your body to ingest vital nutrients, thereby damaging your brain. It impairs your cognitive and physical abilities, and eventually kills you.
Alcohol is literally and factually a poison, and is foreign to the human body. However, I still drink it, go figure.
Oh, and yes, you should be 21 to consume alcohol, and I am sure you won't listen anyway!
