I need some advice for one of my guy friends...and I don't really know to be honest...He said he was talking to this girl, and he noticed as she was talking to him (they were standing) that she started fiddling with her shoe. Like taking it off, twirling it on the ground but looking at him the whole time...(thats what he told me anyways) Could this girl like him? Or is he reading to much into it and she just has a habit of playing around with her shoes? Thanks for all your help in advance...

either she feels nervous around him, its a habit, or he's boring and shes looking for a distraction.

What I've always heard from behavioral experts, is that fiddling with your shoe is a sign that you want to walk away from the situation! If she liked him she would be touching his shoulder or leaning into him while talking to him. If she had direct eye contact, she might be holding him back with her eyes. Usually we look somebody in the eye to confront them or intimidate him. As a last resort, he should try picking up a conversation with her again and pay attention to her body language. If she is crossing her arms (defensive pose) or does the shoe thing, then it's a no-go.

I know a lot of girls that play with their shoes constantly. I am also guilty of that. That is not a real sign, but the fact that she stood there having a conversation is saying something.

Thats a tough one, she could like him and that can be why she was doing that. You know when girls get around a guy they like they try to distract themselves and seem calm when its almost obvious lol. Or like you said it can be a habit of hers, tell him to look for more signs besides that one. Then he'll know for sure.

Probably just a habit, but looking straight at him the whole time is a good sign.

I don't play with my shoes to indicate I like a guy. I don't know of anyone else who does that either. It was probably just a habit of hers.

seems to me that she was nervous so she most likely does like him or is just shy around guys
