Does anyone know of the correct sequence, and how to get organized? I have a lot of stuff, way too much, I have no time to hold sales of whatever, I've made some progress but still, everything is a mess, I didn't start one room at a time and have very little help, everyone's too busy....

I did hold one sale, but only 3 people came to it. Only sold 5 items! :((
I've been working on this for about 5 days and still need more time, I'm moving Monday, any ideas?

Be sure not to pack important documents or valuables. Carry them with you. Keep things of importance on your person...such as passport, health card, credit card, and medications. Use one carton and label it "Set -Up Carton". Put things in it like the tv remotes, screws out of things you have to take apart. You could also include the paper towels and toilet paper, and things to clean with and some towels, facecloths, face soaf, shampoo and tea towels and dishcloths. When you get to destination, you will be able to open the "Set -Up Carton" first. You could include some tools such as a hammer, screwdriver, etc. Don't pack any flammables or aerosols.

If you live near a moving company, contact them and they will give you a Moving Guide with instructions on how to pack your own things. And remember, if you pack your own cartons and have them moved by a mover, you cannot claim for damages inside the cartons that you packed.

I suggest that you pack all things that go together in boxes together. You can get great boxes of all sizes at places like U Haul, or Penske truck rental. Do not get the biggest boxes but ones that will not be too heavy when they are filled. Be sre to also buy a couple of magic markers so that you can write on the boxes what they contain. Also get some good tape for sealing the boxes. Buy a bunch of good trash bags too.

Put all of your linen, towels and other bath stuff in boxes together. Then do the kitchen. Then do knick knacks that are sitting on shelves. As you box these things throw away what you know is broken, no longer usable, or just in really bad shape.

Pack a box, tape it and mark what's in it. Then stack the boxes out of the way. When you get where you are going you will know what box goes where. You may also want to number your boxes.
