You should never lose self-respect - Meaning doing something that goes against your values and beliefs. However, your pride should be flexible. You can show someone your deserving of a second chance and not lose your integrity by simply turning your wrong into a right. Your actions will show that you have changed and being consistent will all the more prove you are deserving of a second chance..
