You're engaged to a Marine and yet you disrepect the military. Sad..I hope he discovers your true self before he marries you.
The military's job is not like everyone else's. Do the workers at 7-11 have to worry about falling off a plane? Do the Burger Flippers have to load missles on the wing of an F-16. Get over yourself and leave the military alone.

Sure, I'm doing a job just like everyone else, assuming:
1) Everyone else could make 4 times as much working the same job for another company
2) That everyone else works an average 60 hour week with no overtime pay whatsoever
3) That everyone else gets all expense paid vacations to Iraq/Afghanistan where, on vacation, they will work 14 hours a day, seven days a week, for 4 months straight.
4) That everyone else has a bounty on them from Osama for their live capture
I could go on...

Would you work a job, with no OT ,just salary where you work 7 days a week, can be sent thousands of miles from home to some godforsaken craphole of a country, without much notice, put your life in danger, to protect others, oh and you can't just quit, it is illegal? Does that sound like just another job?
Maybe you have no clue about what our service men and women are sacrificing for your selfish, self centered butt.
