You should definitely look into the possibility of getting a year for OPT first. Talk to your foreign student advisor about that as soon as possible. Otherwise, you will need to find a prospective employer who is willing to file the proper paperwork with USCIS to allow you to possibly adjust to H1b status. This is a route many other foreign students have taken in the past, but the numbers of available visas are limited and usually the demand is greater than the supply. It's generally impossible to predict when the numbers will run out any given year, although this year they ran out in April. Take a look at uscis.gov for more information on the H1b process.

First, you need to get a ssn now.

You should be able to apply for OPT, which is for F-1 student to remain in the US to work full time for up to 1 year. You can use this one year to find a job that the employer is willing to sponsor you H1-B, which is a working visa. You cannot apply for H1-B yourself, it has to be done through your employer.

For OPT, I believe your school should have that type of information. Usually it comes as a package with lots of paper. You need to follow the instruction to fill those out and request some documents from your school, such as transcript, new I-20 for opt, and so on. It's not too complicated. Good luck.

How can you not have a social security card here??The moment you arrive in the US your college/uni should have arrange that all international student apply for a social security card/number. What you need to do isapply for ur social security card and then a month or so before you graduate go to your international office (the office that deals with international student) and apply for your OPT (optional pratical training) that will last you for a year. then you got to find a job that is revelant to ur major in school. When you do you need to also find a company that is willing to sponsor your H1 visa that's ur working visa. Tell them as long as they are willng to sponsor you if they are not willing to pay for the fees then I guess you can if you want pay for it urself. Good Luck
