I don't have school today! I think I'm gonna go Kwanzaa caroling. lol
I'm a United Methodist Christian, but my school is mostly Jewish.
Passover sucks at my school! You can't go anywhere without having to listent to Jewish people complain about not getting to eat bread. I mean, I totally support that lots of my friends are Jewish, but if they can't stand their own culture, what's the point in keeping it?

If you attend a Jewish school or Hebrew school, it will be a normal day off and part of the school calendar. I was talking to a college student at temple tonight and her Judaism class was cancelled tomorrow during Rosh Hashanah. In certain regions of the country, school may be cancelled (such as in NY or Miami Beach), but growing up, we were allowed excused absences when the Jewish High Holidays fell on weekdays.
I will be at services tomorrow. L'shanah Tovah.

But if you're Jewish you have to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, so you're definitely not planning on doing anything else, and if you're not Jewish, then you have to go to school, unless the majority of the kids in your school are Jewish, which I think is very few schools, and school is closed. So this question pertains to very few people. Or I don't really know what Jewish people do on Rosh Hashanah, they might actually have a lot of free time. In that case, please excuse my ignorance.

If your are Jewish Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are the only two holidays a year that count. These are excused absents in school districts, work, the military and just about every where else. If your school does not give you an automatic excuse, have your parents take it to the school board.

Most non religious private schools in my area get the day off even though there aren't that many Jews in the school. Since I'm Jewish I will be celebrating the new year . Happy Rosh Hashana!

Since I'm one of the only Jewish kids in my entire school district, we "have" school. Of course I'll be not going, and going to services instead. Then my family and I go over to my aunt's house for apples and honey and lots of food. However, my two teachers decided to throw tests on a day I told them I wasn't going to be there, and told me if I couldn't make them up by Friday morning, then I would automatically get 0s. Somehow, I don't think this is fair. Most of the schools surrounding ours get the day off, because they have quite a few more Jews in them, but unfortunately not my school.
