One thing is to believe that you have something and another is to be told you have something by a professional in the field. Most people self diagnose themselves so many illnesses that were not really present to start with and somehow are self created by believing in them. I would recommend that you sit down with your mother and explain what you believe and feel, listen to what she has to say, she is your mother and I'm sure she will give you good advice. Together you guys can make an appointment with a Therapist to figure out if you do have Social Anxiety, and if you do there are many positive methods of dealing with it, and if you don't have Social Anxiety then it will be a big relief off your shoulder.

Tell your mom. You'll have to be evaluated by a doctor, anyway-and you can't make an appointment without your parent's permission. Even if it's not that exact disorder, if your mom sees that you are sad and nervous, and not making new friends easily, she won't object to your getting help. Yes, your mom IS the one to tell, as she no doubt, wants the best for you.

1. She's your mother. She will understand.
2. You're a teenager right? A bit of anxiety
is SOP at your age, probably totally normal.
Relax. You CAN deal with it.

you should tell her. but if you dont want to dont force urself to. i used to have really bad ocd but then it got to the piont where i couldnt sleep if one thing was out of place and i kind of stopped myself from doing some of the things. i still have it v mildly but dont need help or anything.
it just proves u dont need a shrink or doctor to get over things.
ask her if she thinks u have it.
