Do you really *hear* the voice of God? Because I pray and I gotta tell you, the one time I "Heard" the voice of God, I thought I was going stark raving mad and if it ever happens again I will be on the phone to my best friend (who is a psychologist) in a heartbeat. If it's God, great... but I'd prefer ruling out schizophrenia first. (It only happened to me once, about 15 years ago, and I assumed it was an hallucination of some sort.)

All living creatures created by God do have extra perceptive powers and many organisms do have the ability to use this ability to its fullest. Humans also have this trait and it can be honed by many.

Hearing voices is a psychological ailment.Not a part of the normal human condition.There is no such thing as instinctive belief.Beliefs are taught not automatically known.Intuition is largely the study of things to come based on experience.

? Actually religion is really just culture. 95% of those born on Sri Lanka will be Buddhist. Almost all those born in India will be a Hindu or Buddhist. Hearing the 'voice of god' is self-deception. It is believing that what you IMAGINE, is actually real. People hear, see and believe what they WANT to see, hear and believe. If you want to believe you're hearing god badly enough, you'll hear it even though it's all in your head.
