I had a difficult time trying to find a picture for you. There is a ribbon (like the breast cancer, support our troops, etc)

The part of the ribbon that starts on the left and goes up to the right is on the front and it symbolizes the adoptive paretns. That top part of the ribbon...that connects the two tails is white...symbolizing the adoptee. The tail that starts at the top left and goes down behind to the bottom right is pink...symbolizing the birth parents.

It technically starts with the birthparents (pink) on the bottom right goes up to meet the adoptee (white) at the top which contiues with the adoptive parents (yellow) from the top right to the bottom left.

Symbolizing the birthparents handing the child to the adoptive parents and having that child being the bond between them.

There is also a green awareness ribbon that stands for opening sealed adoption records.

I am sorry that I was so wordy, but since I couldn't find a picture of it I wanted to make sure to describe it from as many angles as I could. Good luck...

There are two symbols associated with adoption specifically from China. The first is the ladybug. Usually meaning new life or new beginning. The other is a red thread. It's part of a Chinese belief that red threads tie together people who are supposed to meet in life. They may wander or tangle but they always tie two individuals together.

I'm getting the green ribbon for open records for adoptee rights on my forearm this coming july 2008! I don't know if you're an adoptee and looking for something up that alley, but thought i'd put it out there!

you can google "green ribbon campaign for open records!"

to get an idea of the look if you're into it!

I've seen the adoption triangle that was mentioned in an earlier answer. We also have a red ribbon magnet (like the support our troops ribbon) that says "Adoption - the Loving Option", and the center of the ribbon is cut into a heart.

Good luck to you.

There is a triangle symbol that represents the adoption triad.
Child, adoptive parents, birth parents.
You could probably google it.

No offense, but this sounds like one of the worst ideas I have ever heard

Are you an adoptive parent, or hoping to be one?

I don't know if there is one.

but, if I developed one...it would be a heart with a small baby in it.

I have a daughter I adopted. And I wrote her a poem..titled
Child of My Heart

I would have two people of different races, and ones giving the other a baby. Ah ha ha...

Actually, they probably have a ribbon of some sort. Just google it
