Save a file saves it to your hard drive for future execution.

Run a file runs it on the spot.

Well Cancel is Simply Cancel. where you wish not to continue to download program. When you click on run.. It basically saves the file in your computer temporary file folder (sort of like Recycle Bin). Once you Run it you cannot find that file easily. When you click on Save this time it will ask you which location you want to save such as Desktop or my documents etc.. When you save it now you can use that file over again as much you want untill you delete it. Where Run command will download the file and open it for you and once you closed it you cannot open it again and you need to download that file again.

Save means you will download and save the file in your hard disk, and you can open it later as your option, if you will click the "run" just after downloading, the file will automatically run or opens without your control option...it is better to use always save..

When you choose to SAVE a file, it gets saved to ur HDD as a .exe file. Then you may proceed to run it and install whatever you aimed to.
When you RUN it directly, the .exe copy doesnt get saved, and the installation takes place from a temporary file created by the website.

Generally if you save a program it gets saved to your desktop(after which it can be run) , if you run the file it gets saved to a temporary folder so if you want to use it more than once i would suggest saving it. I am assuming that you use IE
OK well that's all i got.

When you click save, you will save it on your pc and can open it anytime without going to the website and downloading it again.
When you click run it will open but will not be save on your pc and next time you want to see it again you have to log in to the website again.

If the file is trustworthy, you can Run it from the source. However, if you aren't sure, you can Save it and then scan it with your security products before Run to install.

Also some people prefer to Save a copy of the original program so that they have a backup sometime down the road if needed.

SAVE will copy the file to your hard disk without opening it once it has finished downloading.

RUN will automatically open/execute the file once it has finished downloading, but will NOT save it to your disk afterwards. Only use this option if you really trust the file you are downloading.
