I do not agree with it. There are several issues you need to look at. He may act older than he is, but he is not older than he is emotionally. Therefore, he may be subject to more influence by you than you realize. You also need to consider the legal ramefications. You are of age, he is not. Period. Wait until he is 18 and you are 20. It may sound a little strange, but it truly makes all the difference in the world. And, just to let you know, my husband is almost 16 years older than I am. We married when I was 25 and he was 40. I would not (nor would he) have dated when I was 15 and he was 30, or when I was 5 and he was 20. Get the picture?

You are only two years apart. I don't think it's wrong. The only that could be here is that he's a minor. That's why people think it's such a problem. But when you're 22, he's going to be 20. Age is only a number and it signifies how many year's you've been on earth. It doesn't measure how mature you are though. If he acts older than his age, then by all means go out with him. There is a 9 year difference between my parents. When my dad was graduating high school, my mom was just entering the third grade!

My boyfriend and I are 2 years apart...I'm older. His parents aren't too happy about it, but if you like eachother, that's all that matters:
"Age is mind over matter...if you don't mind, it doesn't matter."
Mark Twain
As for society, you souldn't care what they think...our society is screwed up so don't worry about poeple saying it's wrong. Age is just a number. And think about years down the road when one is 30 and the other is 28. That's not so bad is it? I don't know why people think that the girl being older is wrong, but what can I say? The world we live in is pretty messed up. As long as you like the person, everything is fine and dandy. But do worry about the future...when you go off to college and he is stuck in highschool...it is hard to stay together. But enjoy the time while you can.
good luck :)

Are you breaking any laws by dating him? I think that is something to consider. I wouldn't want you going to jail or being labeled a sex offender for the rest of your life. There is a possibility he is more mature..or you are immature for your age and that is why you relate to a 16 yr old guy. I would just be very careful. I was just reading an article where a guy is in jail for having oral sex with his girlfriend...he is 17 and she was 15 at the time. Is it really worth it? Find someone who is also legally considered an adult.

Dating a guy who is 2 years younger then you is not a problem nor is it wrong because if you look at old married people, the guy is usually younger or is like way older then the woman. Dont listen to what others have to say about that.

Dating is legal. Who cares about "weird" if you are vibing well with each other! Check your state's age of consent laws for anything further, although the chances of an 18-yo female getting in legal trouble for hooking up with a 16-yo male are very slim indeed.

No... I'm 19 and dating a girl who is 21... Nothing weird about it at all. Love is love, regardless of the age.

It seems weird that you are 18 years old and can't spell. From your typing skills, I will assume you couldn't graduate high school, so dating a 16 year old can't be much worse than that.

If you are just dating and not having sex, then I see nothing wrong with it. If you are in the UK, Russia or any other country where the age of consent is 16, then I see nothing wrong with you also having sex if you both want it.
BTW It doesn't matter to me which of you is the younger one.
