America was founded as a Christian Nation, but liberals won't be happy until they've ruined the principles of our forefathers, and have created an atheist state.

1) Liberals don't have no moral values.
2) Although the bible prooves that we was created by Gawd, liberals teach the kids that we evolved from a bunch of monkeys. That's the public school system for ya.....
3) Kids don't get to pray in school no more.
4) Liberals are trying to destroy marriage by letting gays marry. What next, dogs?

Because you are trying to take ours away.

America was not founded as a Christian Nation. Christian implies the belief that Jesus Christ is the son of God ant through him you will achieve salvation. Nowhere in any governemt documentation is Christ ever mentioned. God, but never Christ. Mentioning God by himself could imply any number of faiths (Judaism, Islam, etc).

1) Liberal have moral values. We simply derive them from a secular source. Not just accepting what someone arbitrarily wrote down a thousand years ago.

2) The Bible does not prove anything, just expects you to believe anything.

3) Kids CAN pray in school, the school just cannot pressure them to. If the kids don't pray, it is not the schools fault, it is because the kids just don't want to.

4) I don't see how letting gays marry would affect anyone else. The only threat to marriage is divorce.

1. There are Christian Liberals, so you're entire argument just flew out the window!
2. The US was NOT created as a Christian nation and if you had ever bothered to READ your history books, you might know that.
3.Liberals do have moral values, it appears that you are the one lacking.
4. The Bible is a book written by ignorant men thousands of years ago and 'proves' nothing.
5.Kids are allowed to pray in school, out of school, anywhere they want, as long as the entire school isn't being forced to follow suit.
6.Letting gays marry will in no way "destroy" marriage. Straight people who divorce 50% of the time are taking care of that.
and 7. Before you come in here and stand up on your flimsy little soap box, perhaps you should learn proper grammar and spelling because I have trouble taking anything you say seriously! Learn to speak and then you can try preaching to me!

You are correct, partially. The Constitution grants no authority to the federal government either to grant or deny the religious expressions of the people in any place. Any PRIVATE place that is. But the Constitution also prohibits the government from passing any laws "respecting the establishment of religion". That means, they cannot endorse, promote or sponsor any religion. And certainly not one religion over any other. So, you can do whatever you want in private. And the government is not allowed to intrude. That's free exercise. But you can't use government funds to pay for your religious activities. You can't make your religion the de facto standard in schools or public buildings. That's non-establishment. Do you really not understand the difference between allowing you to believe what you want, and prohibiting you from forcing your religion down everyone else's throats? I assume you support school prayer. Would you feel the same way if the prayers were all conducted according to Islamic practices? Or if the prayers were made to the Goddess and God duality of the Wiccan faith? Or if the monument in front of your town hall was a Jewish Star of David, or a statue of Buddha? Or are you only in favor of govt-sponsored religious expression when your religion is the one being promoted?

1. Jesus was a liberal Jew.
2. The United States was founded as a secular nation, God is not mentioned in the Constitution of the United States and religion is only mentioned in the context that the government shall not establish either religious tests or an official religion.
3. There are many liberals that are members in good standing in Christian churches who would be glad to disagree with you.
4. Most of the gay scandals, (Foley, Craig, et al) are conservative Republicans.

Maybe you need to clean up your own house before you start looking in someone else's.

The funny thing about liberals and conservatives is that they all state that they should have freedom. Guess where freedom comes from? You got it!!! The Bible!!!! The constitution was fashioned after the freedoms that are spoken of in the Bible. What you have now is an anything goes society. There is no right. There is no wrong. They also have made great strides in taking away the death penalty. They make it easy for pedophiles to go to get out of jail quick and go on the prowl again. They make it easy for an illegal immigrant to rape a six year old girl, get released and murder three teenage citizens in New Jersey. My hat goes off to the liberals, democrats and republicans. Great job guys!!

3) Separation of church and state, Let the kids pray at home.

4) Let the gays marry, if you don;'t want to see it look the other way.

You don't know what you're talking about. Freedom of religion means ANY religion, not just yours.

Kids don't get to pray? Of course they can. On their own time. The court case that banned school prayer was about a school trying to *force* kids to pray.

Destroy marriage? How does letting gay couple marriage affect the marriages of straight people? In Massachusetts, the Netherlands, Holland, and Canada, gay people can marry, and it has had NO effect how how many straight people marry or divorce. You are just parroting the talking points of the religious conservatives.

a. this from a believer whose "Holy" book advocates rape and murder.
b. So the Bible is truth because it says it is? That explains everything...
c. How is anyone not allowed to pray??
d. Uh.... according to our Constitution, all citizens are equal before the law...

I'm sorry, was this question a joke? Seriously, your spelling and grammar can't have been that bad on accident, right?

American was founded as a Christian nation? Last I checked 11 of the 13 of the founding fathers, when asked at some point in their career or in their writings, did not declare themselves Christians. Most were deists, and a few had a strong dislike for the morality of the religion itself. All were for a strong seperation of church and state.

1)Don't have no, lol
2)ok I see where this is goin
3)Kids can pray anytime they want, as long as it doesn't interrupt classes.
4)No, cats. Nice joke...
