I plan on going to Canada sometime soon. My question is, is someone going to check my trunk and all that stuff before I am allowed in?

Unless you appear suspicious for some reason it is unlikely that your trunk will be checked. However, there are spot checks everyday, and you could be chosen for one of those. Don't carry anything in your trunk that you are not allowed to bring into the country. Then there is no reason to worry about it.

Probably not. But they do spot checks. Basically, the border guards are allowed to ask you anything they want and check out your vehicle for any reason. Be prepared. And do not try to bring a weapon across the border.

It's quite possible. They do spot checks and the computer brings up random checks for people crossing the border. I often see cars stopped with all their belongings piled on a table. So if you are thinking of bringing something illegal, or a gun, forget it. They also use X-ray machines.
