Already has been done and there is no Copyrights to a recipe. Think a bout it....... who can say they claim rights to a recipe for an example chicken soup. How would Gramma know that someone has put a copyright on the soup that she has made for years. Would this mean that Gramma couldn't sell her soup if she had a restaurant ? And how would she know ? This is why recipe's are kept and held as a Secret recipe.

The formula for Coca-Cola is a "trade secret" and if somehow you come across and publishes it for profit, you will be legally prosecuted.

However, if you come up with your own formula or recipe that produces something similar to Coca-Cola or other items, in such a way as told by William Poundstone in his book Big Secrets. ISBN: 0688048307, then it should be fine.

Another Y!A answer mentioned about the trio including a secretary at Coca-Cola trying to sell some confidential information to Pepsico happened last year with the court case this year. Although it was not the secret formula for Coca-Cola, the intent to profit from selling trade secret is illegal.

A secretary from Coke tried that a few years ago. She said she had the secret recipe, and tried to sell it to bigwigs from Pepsi.

Pepsi turned her in. She's in jail now.

There are people who publish recipes that they worked out that they say taste exactly the same as the commercial one. I'm no lawyer, but if you claim it's the original, I think you will have legal problems.

Nope. Unless they sell it to you, you have no rights to it at all. And with big companies like that, you would get sued before you even sold one recipe.

Nope. And it wouldn't be pretty to sell it anyway - too many people are looking for stupid ways to sue the living hell out of people so they can make money.

probably not a good idea to have it in the first place... and no. without legal permission, it is probably illegal to sell copyrighted recipes.

You'll be needing a lawyer worse than a publisher.

You can probably sell it. Although i dont know anyone who would buy it because they would need the money for the pending lawsuit they would have.
