I believe in destiny and also that whatever happens in my life was destined from the start...but can we change destiny or its ways?

I don't believe in destiny, but I believe in ... ah dammit...I forgot the correct term for it.
It's where our genetic and environmental makeup make or break who we become. Like for example someone might have the genetic making of the next Emmitt Smith, but it takes the environmental elements for him to achieve that (i.e. a high school coach that points him in the right direction, parents that support him, staying away from the bad crowd, etc)
Anyone have any idea of what I'm talking about, please help me

Sushy I totally believe in destiny...I believe our lifes are mapped out for us from day one...I dont believe destiny can be changed but how we look at things and deal with them is up to us so we can change how we handle our destinys...I also wanted to tell you I love the fact that you have a bit sarcasim..that keeps everyone around you on their toes and the fact that you laugh at your own jokes is awsome....people who can laugh at themselves can laugh along with others ...laughter is the key to life in many ways

yes, i also believe in destiny. they say you are given choices in your lifetime and you do have controll depending on what you chose, which is a total contradiction to definition of destiny. if it is your destiny you can not change it. unless people have options, like 3 choices only with 3 different outcomes and no more. which still contradicts the difinition of destiny.

Yes i do, What ever is meant to happen will happen. WE simply can't change destiny, cause we never know it, and if we chang our mind or take other choices in life, that's our destiny. kinda tricky :D:D

No, I believe nothing happens to me that God doesn't know is going to happen to me. Everything that comes my way comes through His hands first. I have given my life to Him, therefore it is His for the molding.

yes what ever is ment to be is ment to be. I think you cant change your destiny but you can change the way it happens.
like if you were ment to die at the market but you decided not to go to the market and stay home your house may catch on fire and you can die that way<- just an examlple.
