Peter, He was just a fisherman and humble. He even said for Jesus to go away from him..Luke 5:8
When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus' knees and said, "Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man
He knew His condition and realized his shame.
even when the crowd came to take Jesus and crucify Him Peter stood up for his master, but before that Jesus told him he would deny Him .
When Peter did deny Jesus and the rooster crowed Peter know what he had done and wept bitterly....this shows how he loved the Lord with all his heart.

Peter, because he had the courage to get out of the boat and walk on water. Also because I can identify with him sinking as he looked around at the storm instead of at Jesus. That is one of my favorite stories, one I need to remind myself of often.
Also because he demonstrated human weakness in denying Jesus three times out of fear, and then became an example of God's forgiving grace as Christ restored him.
Peter was a mess, but he was enthusiastic about Jesus, and that is something I can relate to very well. God's kindness in dealing with him is encouraging to me.

Peter because he was so human and had so many doubts even though he witnessed so many miracles. I think I'd be the same way
