I love tea I drink pretty much every type but I absolutely love green tea. My question is.. when I make a cup of tea I just keep the tea bag in there the whole time I don't take it out after it is done brewing. Is this bad, pointless or what? Lol.

the longer you steep green tea, the more bitter it gets. that's my experience. If you don't mind the taste, go for it. Some people like it really strong. If you want it strong without a bitter taste, brew two teabags but make sure you remove one or both of them because it's quite strong for that amount of liquid.
also a rule of thumb for green teas is not to steep it in boiling water. let it cool down for a few minutes before steeping it. The reason is that green tea is more delicate than black tea and you may get a better taste from it.

It's not bad, I drink some herbal teas that I brew for a half hour...but doesn't that affect the taste of your green tea? I usually brew my green tea for no more that 3 minutes because it gets really bitter if you brew it too long. Have you tried Matcha? It's powdered green tea that you mix into your water and you actually drink up all of the tea. It is very good for you. I love it :)

apparently the longer you leave the tea bag in (up to about ten mins), the more antioxidants are released. So its best to leave it in for quite a while. If you leave it too long it wont do you any harm.

The longer it steeps the stronger it gets, so it is just a matter of personal preference.

It will just effect how strong the taste gets, if youlike it strong leave it in there.
