Some men would lust after women if they wore potato sacks. It's not even always about clothing. A guy could have a lustful thought just because a woman smiled at him. Why are we the ones at fault?

That's just a guy. He always thinks like that.

For instance, the example you just made with the potato sack, I immediately thought of the following line:

"Hey baby, mind if I check out your potatoes?"

It's just my 20 year old mind at work. That's not your fault.

and I'm sorry for that line.

"Some men would lust after women if they wore potato sacks."

I tell my female friends this all the time. A good looking woman is a good looking woman. And I'm not looking at her shoes, either. Victoria's Secret, burlap sack - guys are just lustful all the time.

We aren't. A person is only responsible for their own thoughts and actions, assuming they are sound of mind, etc.

I've always said, if religion really wants to cut down on the sin of lust, they should encourage nudity. What's in plain sight is much less attractive than what's concealed. (After about 15 minutes of getting used to the sight, of course.)

By making the body and sexuality taboo, you only increase the problem.

Jesus did say, "But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea." (Matthew 18:6; see also Mark 9:42 and Luke 17:2).

By "little ones," Jesus meant young children, who because they do not discern the consequences of their actions or the reasons for moral rules, cannot be held accountable for their actions. Those who introduce them to addictions, make them prostitutes, or change their sexual orientation by molestation are responsible for their sin, and for damaging or destroying their lives. Hence the millstone.

Concerning lustful adolescents and grown men, they are fully responsible for their own actions, including willfully entertaining lustful thoughts.

I say only if there is something that you did to cause them to do it. For instance like wearing revealing clothes, and/or act in flirting ways.

But not if you are not seeking someone to sin. If that sentence makes any sense. For instance, asking someone to steal something that you desire would be leading them into sin. But if they stolen something and then told you about it, that isn't your responsibility.

If God didn't want men to lust, then he wouldn't have made all the chicks on The Weather Channel hot as hell.

Fact.

You are not responsible, your sin is just greater. But intention on your part is vital in determining the existance of a sin.

You can't "make" anyone do anything. Romans 14.12 (I'm on a Romans kick): "So, then, each of us will be accountable to God." I lust after you because I choose to, not because you somehow made me or tricked me into it.
