Well if that's all the child will eat.. But white bread, jelly, and peanut butter aren't exactly the world's healthiest foods. It does offer protein from the peanut butter though. I'm sure it will be fine for awhile though. Maybe you can make some deli meat sandwhiches and cut them out with cookie cutters or those new sandwhich cutters to make them for fun. I'm assuming that's the problem... Good luck.

I would personally have concerns about the child's nutritional intake. What are they getting for breakfast and dinner? are you serving anything with the sandwich? (carrot sticks, apple slices (or sauce)) I don't believe that it is healthy to do this...but again I was raised to eat the food I was served unlike many children today apparently. The child might not want to eat the new foods initially, but if you stick with it they will come to and learn to try new foods. I think that many parents have gotten a little lazy with this and that's why they serve them the great tasting high fat foods that is making our children so fat. True the children may eat the food...but look at the damage it is cauing.

i don't see any harm in it, my daughter packs her lunch to school, and she only wants a peanut butter sandwich. i would rather her eat that than nothing at all, or something of less nutritional value. she still gets nutrients from breakfast and supper, and i give her a multi-vitamin for children too. so as long as they are getting other nutrients throughout the day, then it's fine to have the sandwich for lunch everyday.

I would think that it's not bad. I, however, would use a white-wheat bread, sugar free peanut butter and no sugar added jelly.

Nope! Especially if that's all your child will eat. I believe I will be making pb&j's for the next 3-4 years.

Probably not if the child is getting a complete balanced diet every day.
