I only use the stall for people with disabilities if I absolutely need to. I have problems with my knees and there are days I can sit and stand without help. But other days, I really need the railing to get down and back up again.
One shopping mall in my city has a public bathroom where all the stalls can accommodate people with disabilities and people with babies and small children. I think the designers of that bathroom had the right idea--all restrooms need to be accessible to all people. Not only would it be convenient, but it would end these tireless arguments about who has the right to use which bathroom.

I use a "standard" stall when available. However, if the larger, handicapped-accessible stall is the only one available at the time, I will use it. I have noticed, recently, a sad trend - that this is frequently the most-used stall, and as such, is often in poor condition.

The standard. Leave the handicapped stall for the handicapped. You never know when someone needing it will come in. It's just like the handicapped parking spaces.

I always choose the standard stall. Only use the handicapped if all others in use. I actually try to wait till I get home if at all possible. Hate public restrooms. But sometimes nature won't wait.

I usually use the standard BUT being outfitted with a honking huge titanium kneebrace I opt for the "luxury"stall as you call it to avoid getting caught in the door or the toilet tissue dispenser. However when I am not in the brace if that is the only stall available I will hurry in and out.

Standard but will use the handicapped one if no handicapped person is waiting and it is the only one free.
I don't think they are just for handicapped people, they are a coursety I think. In Europe it is very hard to find a handicapped restroom.

I would choose the standard stall because someone who is actually handicapped could need to use the handicapped stall and they wouldn't be able to because I would be in it!

Always the standard. Even though you may not be in there all day, someone that is handicapped may desperately need it. I have seen that happen and I felt so sorry for the handicapped lady as she had a mess and must have been horribly embarrassed, just an anyone else would be.

****edit****
everyone at some point or another had to pee really bad and used the handicap stall cause it was the only one available. why do some of these folks choose to act like they NEVER DID IT is beyond me.......keep it real!

honestly, it depends on how clean the bathroom is. If the bathroom is filthy i would rather use the larger stall which will give me more room and help me avoid touching the walls
