Imagine the most unholy and/or blasphemous ways of mocking God. Chances are, I have done it.

God is quick to anger, there are MANY counts of this in the Bible, so to all of you that will say, "Well you will get yours in the afterlife", you are wasting your breath as well as contradicting your own belief system.

Why let me live untouched, unscathed, while many religious people have far worse lives than myself? Why strike down their children in the streets, when a known blasphemer such as myself would be a far better target?

Could it be that the fear your God holds over your head is nothing more than a self-serving lie? Hmmmmmm.

It really makes you wonder though..... why god has become so.... nonchalant about everything. Especially when you compare life today to life as described in the bible where god was all up in everyone's "grills" .... OK, i won't try to be hip anymore..... But seriously... in the bible god kills a guy (I believe it was Judas' son?! or something?!) for spilling his seed instead of inseminating his dead brother's wife.... Hell, i spill my seed all the time.... I'm still alive.... that's nowhere near as bad as the blasphemy I've taken part in, but still... it was a grievous enough crime for god to smite the guy right where he was.... If i haven't been smote for my lesser "crimes" .... and I haven't been smote for my blasphemous ways..... does god just not care anymore? Or, is it that he just doesn't exist?

what excuses will you, as a christian, (not you feral, cuz i know you're not a christian.... I mean "you" as a generic "you") make up to justify the fact that your god is not active as he was in the bible? How do you rationalize it in your own minds that he is really there when he is doing literally NOTHING to show his power or his presence? You having a "feeling" while looking around at "god's work" is not proof of anything but your own personal emotional states.

Edit to Barney:

"I hope I'm there when you do get yours " Ooh spoken like a true self-rightous christian.... with so much pride. Vanity is one of your sins, is it not? my feeble-minded christian friend.... Do not be so quick to relish in the retribution of your god onto others when after your life of sin and judgement... it may be your own punishment that others will enjoy. You silly little boy.

Scotgirl: Which is it?

God's anger is fierce and endures long
Num 32:13/ Num 25:4/ Jer 17:4
God's anger is slow and endures but for a minute
Ps 103:8/ Ps 30:5

That is referring to the final analysis. When history wraps up at the Parousia and Great White Throne Judgment it will become clear that God is not mocked.

Maybe God's goon squads aren't working as efficiently as they have in the past.

God is not intimidated by being mocked. It happens to Him on a daily basis.

Actually scripture says outright that God is SLOW to anger...

It could be that because of God's amazing grace that you are being allowed to live your life as you choose and mock God, because God knows what's coming in this life for you, and he knows that you'll be asking him for His help, then...!

If there is an all knowing omnipotent god then I doubt mockery would bother him. I don't think he would care for our praise either...
