He will probably write if other people don't lose that privilege for him. He cannot call unless it is a family emergency. I found out I was preggo a week after he left. His chief let him call from his office to hear the good news. Once you get the address please write him because that is very important to him.

Honey it will be a little while. But don't worry you are still the last person he thinks about before hitting the pillow and falling asleep. REMEMBER to write him A LOT because even though it is just boot camp they still get lonely and depressed. If you don't know what to write him remind him of a funny time when you were together with friends, or maybe a even more personal time that was just between the two of you, send him the lyrics of your song, etc. Just to remind him how much you love him and don't forget to sign your letters telling him you are proud of him that is ALWAYS a boost of confidence. Anyways give him a few weeks. Try to be the first to send him a letter.

After he arrives and is briefed, they get a 5 min. call home.
He might call you or mom and dad, he can only call one.
Depending on how the rest of his division behaves, will br how you know when you'll hear from him. Sundays are the days that recruits get to write home but if anyone in his division pisses the RDC's of, he'll be P.T.ing instead of writing. P-Days (processing) takes anywhere from 3-7 days so he definitely won't be writing home this week. Congratulations and tell your fiance' I said Good Luck!!!

Oh man! Been a while since boot in Great Lakes.

Depends on the person in charge of the division he is in. Ours didnt let any calls, some others allowed a lot. He is in hell right now - increasingly deprived sleep, lack of food and privacy.

He is pooping while 80 other strangers are in line who have to poop are watching him poop (no doors). Thats only one of hundreds of things he is having to deal with.

Letters of support and encouragement make the difference. Wish I could see the graduation. Good luck!

He will be very busy for a few weeks. He may not be able to write as he won't have the opportunity. Drill sergeants will be in his face 24/7 for a while. If he doesn't write, it isn't because he doesn't want to write. It is important you write him even if you don't hear from him; he needs your love and support.

They usually have to write to someone in the first few days. After that it is at their leisure, something they have very little of. Write him. He will appreciated it. Don't get torqued if you don't get many letters.
