Why are WE the "#1 most unpatriotic group in America"? Why do atheists get the butt of the joke from Christiants? Why do they strive so hard to disprove evolution, but could care less what actual other religions think about the origins of the universe? Are you aware that all the OTHER religions out there disagree with you too? Why are we so threatening, when we make up such a small percentage of the population? There's got to be somethin' about us that makes you nervous, right? What could it be....Hm...

They assume just because we're atheists... we're bad people.

I am a Christian and I don't dislike atheists. I haven't heard an atheist joke in years. Regarding evolution why do you strive so hard to shove it down our throats as absolute fact? We have a right to our beliefs, just as you have a right to your disbelief. The reason we don't take what other religions say regarding the origin of the universe as fact is because they are just that....other religions, if we believed what their religions said we'd be Hindu, Buddhist, etc...
True Christians are not threatened at all. I am very secure in my faith and you can believe whatever you want. I've found that most atheists that I know have grown to be bitter because life hasn't given them what they feel entitled to so therefore they are mad at the world. I do feel sorry for atheists because it seems as though they have no hope. Good luck to you.

For that ones that fit your description:
Arrogance, ignorance and stupidity-bad combination. Just read this answer to another question. Answerers name is Lion of Judah, he's special apparently.
"The Bible teaches love, patience, and seeking the welfare of others even when it might harm the Christian. In contrast, the atheists' presuppositions must be constantly changing and subjective, and do not demand love, patience, and the welfare of others. Instead, since the great majority of atheists are evolutionists, their morality, like evolution, is the product of purely natural and random processes that become self-serving.
Basically, the atheist cannot claim any moral absolutes at all. To an atheist, ethics must be variable and evolving. This could be good or bad. But, given human nature being what it is, I'll opt for the moral absolutes -- based on God's word -- and not on the subjective and changing morals that atheism offers."

However, many are fine, so lets not lump them in with the foolish few that give their religion a bad name. Im proud to have many Christian friends, they just all realize that atheism does not equal bad person, people are people. Amoral people will be amoral with or without religion, as will immoral people and moral people.

Most christians dont dislike atheists. Im a christian but have many friends/family member that are atheist and we get along fine. Can't everyone just get along...Though i guess if you were going off stereotyping then agnostics might dislike both...or maybe muslims.

Christians dislike atheists because atheists go around making them question their beliefs. They know deep down that their religion doesn't make any sense.

But Christians know that if they are wrong, their whole life has been a lie. No one wants to even consider the idea that their life and beliefs are all a lie. So when atheists come around sharing their beliefs, Christians don't like it because they know that atheism make more sense than Christianity. They panic and wander if their beliefs are wrong.

I love the atheist, but hate the atheism. (laughing).

And no, there's nothing about you that makes me nervous. I simply don't make a big deal about the origins of the universe. Not being a "science" person, I have better, more time consuming matters to deal with than speculating about the possible existence of gravitational waves or dark energy at the farthest reaches of the universe. While no doubt interesting for dinner conversation, the existence of such things have absolutely no bearing on my day-to-day affairs whatsoever.

Do you believe in Probabilities, science, etc? So do rational educated Christians. Rational Christians don't dislike anyone. For every reaction there is an Equal and opposite Reaction is a Bilical principal. They would like to express themselves freely, so that you can be free to express yourself and your views. Christians have faith and hard evidence for their beliefs. They have contributed More to the sciences, education than most other groups.

Well here's the thing.

Everyone has been trying to prove their worth in the world since day one.

Abraham saw it and said, "God has to be justifying all mankind, otherwise no one is gonna make it."

I mean this is just common sense when you think about it.

Who has the answers? Man or God?

Choose for yourself.

Cause this world has made the choice abundantly clear for the atheist and for Abraham.

You have to choose no God, or a God that justifies all mankind to start to really believe in everyone's innate worth.

Religion has always been stuck in the middle, lukewarm.

Don't get ahead of yourself here some of us are opened-minded Christians. But are Strong in what we believe.Just as you.
We have to try to understand where each other is coming from or theres no reason to be here.
This is entertainment it just happens to be a touchy subject.

Dunno but if I can make them p1ss their pants, then awesome...also..it seems to me that it's like the stereotypical Cats vs. Dogs thing, we both dislike each other for apparently very little, other than for the Hell of it...but my dog loves my cats...and they love my dog...weird, isn't it? You get freaks in all groups I guess...and I wonder if Christians even think there ARE other religions (the ones who hate Atheists at least...) because remember, if we (Atheists) were not around, the world would have destroyed itself at least five times over because all the religions would have been fighting (even more so than now) and would have nuked us straight into Hell (Pun intended) So say "Thank you Atheists for keeping the world going" since it seems we're the ones keeping the world together.

I don't dislike atheists, I just don't agree with them. I don't try to disprove evolution, or try to prove creation. Both sides have arguments. I believe it's not a matter of believing if God exists, but rather it is a matter of trusting God. Many people sadly never get to that level of trusting God. It is a covenant issue. God not only requires something from you, He promises to give you something back in return.
