Because it also says "go ye into all the world baptizing in the name of the father and the son and the holy spirit," and "love thy neighboor," (loving in this case meaning sharring the good news).
The message you reference,
"For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." (1 Corinthians 1:18)
is not meant to say that all cannot finally hear the good news and change, but just that those who find it to be foolish are on thier way to a horrible fate ("perishing", not "perished," there is still hope.).

I have multiple friends and aquaintances that are athiests. I respect their point of view and they respect mine. I don't know anyone who's changed religions because their friend or colleague argued with them. I was taught - make a friend, be a friend, bring a friend to Christ. Christianity should be inclusive not exclusive - in other words Christians should really love people right where they are and not preach hellfire and brimstone.

pple call it argue bt we call it telling the truth....spreading the good news. so u mean while your still alive as an athiest, you believe dat your perishing alrdy?bec you dont accept and believe the message on the cross? so its jus right for Christians to spread the word to save the ones who are still alive n not dead yet.....and yes your still alive not perishing yet so we are here to save your butt!

Rule #1, Never argue with a fool.
Folks watching might not be able to determine which one is the fool.

Great question.
How will you ever learn if you choose to shut yourself off from differing opinion.
I hope the person who convinced you that your flavor of religion is truth was correct. If not, you are doomed, but will never be able to find out, because you shut out reason and questions to maintain tradition and faith.
I am sorry you are sooooooo lost.

Because God instructs us to go into all the world, and even Atheists can learn to understand Jesus' love. Why should we discriminate against them, or anyone? With God, all things are possible.
Are you even a Christian, or an Atheist in sheep's clothing?

I don't argue with any atheist. I can engage in more stimulating conversation with a fence post.
