Or, if Jesus was God, how is it possible that anyone saw him and lived to report it?

God didn't tell Job that anyone who saw God would die. The common translation is incorrect. What he said was that anyone who truly saw God would want to die so they could see God all the time.
I have seen God, and I am dead. Indeed, I've been dead for 35 years.
O son of dust, forsake not the Everlasting Beauty for a beauty that must die.

No one has seen God, they are mistaken the bible says that is not possible, however, I do believe that people have and can see Jesus, or atleast a part of him that he allows us to see, something he knows we can accept and understand, but i am not saying it will be the same form we see in heaven. Maybe what they mean is possibly the have seen the Works or Proof of God or maybe even his presence

Jesus is the son and is a part of the whole of God. Jesus is God is the form of a man.
Note that Jacob wrestled physically with God.
Jacob was not blind and could see a man that was God.
God is an eternal spirit but can be seen in many forms but no man has seen God.

Because only Jesus has seen the Father; everyone else who saw God saw Jesus (who is also God, but is God the Son).

WHY? you ask! because they never really seen anything they have had a dream that is a lie from the devil. I believe Gods word and he can not and will not lie. it is human nature to want so badly to see God that we make it up in our own heads this is what i believe.

Guaranteed that God will ask why did they tell people they saw him.

Clearly you are confused as to why Job said that. God is in infinity and eternity. You are in time and space - the finite. Your finite, physical body would die if it was suddenly projected into infinity and eternity right in front of the actual presence of God. That's why he said that. People can "see" God in their mind's eye, or with their spiritual discernment safely.

They see representations or forms of god at best. Moses saw a bush on fire and came down with white hair. What do you think about that?
