"Very much" just means a lot or a large amount. No value judgment involved.
"Too much" implies excess. Has a negative connotation. There is an inherent judgment of excess. More than necessary, or more than allowed, etc. The two terms are not interchangeable.

I am not english but i think too much is like having a lot .. more than necessary..
And very much is like a lot of.
I swear i havent copy the guy up me.
I am spanish and i have try to explain like ma teachers explain me..

You can eat 'too much' food and get a sore stomach or you can like apples 'very much' which means they are one of your favourite foods.

too and very are two different words...too means as in you too? or are you coming too..things like that..then there is very..this word is to explain something better as in it was very white or they can do it VERY well..
