I think about it all the time. What are we? What are we doing here? What is all this around us? How did it get here? It is hard for me to believe that we just die and that is it...but nobody really knows. People have ideas and beliefs...but unless you have died you don't know. It is just faith...people are taugh different things. I just wish I knew what happens...

This may answer that for you:
1 Corinthians 15:44-58

If there be a natural body, there is also a spiritual body, as it is written: 45 The first man Adam was made into a living soul; the last Adam into a quickening spirit.

46 Yet that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; afterwards that which is spiritual. 47 The first man was of the earth, earthly: the second man, from heaven, heavenly. 48 Such as is the earthly, such also are the earthly: and such as is the heavenly, such also are they that are heavenly. 49 Therefore as we have borne the image of the earthly, let us bear also the image of the heavenly. 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot possess the kingdom of God: neither shall corruption possess incorruption.

51 Behold, I tell you a mystery. We shall all indeed rise again: but we shall not all be changed. 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall rise again incorruptible: and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption; and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 And when this mortal hath put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?

56 Now the sting of death is sin: and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who hath given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast and unmoveable; always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Honestly: those of us who do not believe in a "god" believe that we are --- yes in fact -- an accident.

But, as Carl Sagan believed, that makes me feel even more connected to the universe, and even more special.

Why? Because the fact that I am (and you, your family, and your dog are) here at all is such an incredible accident. As if every life form on earth has won the universal lottery.

...And still we have no shortage of stupid people.. go figure....

BTW, "we" are carbon, iron, silicon, oxygen, hydrogen, and several other "cheap" elements.

We have more than ideas and beliefs. We have anecdotal evidence for OBE's and NDE's. We have children with memories and skills learned in past lives in different nations. If you are willing to actually LOOK at the evidence, you can learn a lot about what we are. And we are bigger than ANY religion tells us.

The best answer I can give you would be to just start looking around at what you see. Don't try to understand or think about it, just observe. Keep doing this, and some answers should eventually become apparent.

Walking, talking, sacks of Meat. Thinking meat, but meat none the less.

"100% of the people who have talked about and speculated about life after death or what happens when you die, were people who were not yet dead themselves."

The "Argument from Personal Incredulity" is a pretty poor excuse for logical argument....

Are you being serious? Are you so intent on knowing the answer that you would spend some time daily to know and understand?

One answer to fit all. Those who have eyes to see will see, and those who have ears to hear will hear. Those who chose to be deceived, let them be deceived.
