Enoch lived in the "City of Enoch"

Zion is wherever the pure in heart are found.

The New Jerusalem has not yet been designated or built.

As it says in the bible, the people of the City of Enoch were so righteous that they were all taken into heaven until the second coming of the Lord. As to if they were translated into fully resurected beings it is not said. We do know that they were translated in the sense that they would not taste death or be tempted any further until after the second coming.

I'm going to assume that you are anti, but I will answer the question anyway.

is the city of zion, the true city of Enoch?
Yes.
so when Enoch was alive did he have a city?
Yes.
what was the name of that city?
The city of Enoch.
was it new jerusalem, or was it called Zion?
It was a zion city.
What would islam have to say about this city of zion?
I'm not, nor have I ever been Islam, nor have I ever studied Islam, so how would I know. Perhaps you should ask this question of Muslims, instead of Mormons.

When enoch was translated, were the people of zion, also translated.
Yes.
were they sufficiently faithful and righteous to be translated with Enoch?
Yes.

Remember that Zion is a way of being, not just a specific place on a map. I can be a zion of one, you can be a zion of one. While we also believe that Zion will be a place, it will be called Zion because of the way the people who are there will be, not because the town elders decided to name the town Zion.
Also it sounds like you need to study about what the word Jerusalem means before trying to force a distinction between "New Jerusalem" and "Zion".

UPDATE: Oregon Flower, Jesus Christ is also my Prophet, Priest and King. I've never claimed otherwise - except to sustain the President of the church as Prophet, Seer, and Revelator. But we (members) all understand that while Gordon B Hinckley is the Prophet, Seer, and Revelator, the keys to be such are given to him by Christ.

Zion is defined as "the pure in heart"

The word Zion can also refer to specific geographic locations, as follows:
The ancient city of Jerusalem
The city of Enoch

According to LDS doctrine, the city of Zion was established by Enoch, a man of great faith, and the people of God who followed him. It was not new jerusalem, although the term Zion has also been used to refer to that.

You would have to ask an islamist.

This holy city was “taken up into heaven”/translated, and will return at the time of the Millennium. When it returns it will join with the earthly Zion, which is the New Jerusalem. LDS scripture tells how God walked and talked with Enoch and the people of this city.

One quick point, the city of Enoch as well as Enoch was at time of the tower babel. Rumor has it (just a rumor and a guess not anyone's doctrine) that the people of babel saw the City of Enoch as it was "floating", and that is why they built the tower, to get to this piece of heaven they saw. Again this is a wild guess, but it does place when and possibly where the City of Enoch was.

The book of Moses in the Pearl of Great Price talks in more detail about Enoch and his city.

In ch 7 v. 19 it says that the city Enoch established was called the City of Holiness, even Zion. Throughout the rest of the chapter the city is referred to as Zion. In v. 23 it says that Zion was taken up into heaven. Zion is more of a title than one physical place. The LDS Bible Dictionary talks about Zion here

I did a word search on "Enoch" in Biblegateway, and I didn't see any mention of anybody else being translated into heaven but him. Cain built a city and named it after Enoch; but that's all there is.

Yes, Enoch did have a city called, "The City of Enoch". Not to be confused with Cains City of Enoch.

New Jerusalem has yet to be built but will in due time.

After it is built all people will love it, Jerusalem and New Jerusalem will be the two capitals of the World.

The Righteousness of the City of Enoch was indeed great They followed the Gospel of Jesus Christ with Perfect faith.

i've got faith globalists are the reason for all significant problems interior the international, yet i do no longer think that it is the Zionists doing it. you're way off. there could be some Jews in contact (like the Rothschilds), yet there is a lot greater non-Jews in contact (like the Rockefellers, DuPonts, Kennedys, Carnegies, Astors, timber, etc). give up blaming the Jews for each thing. Your argument will obtain greater attractiveness in case you evade the anti-semitic nonsense. Very very few Jewish human beings have something to do with globalism and the pursuing of it.

Enoch alone was translated. The bible said, that "Enoch walked with God and was not, because God took him."
Notice that it did not say, "took Them".
And as far as a city, the bible does not say.

It's too bad that people like purifiedheartbeat are so misled, whoever said Zion is in Independence, Missouri is incorrect. I've heard of Zion like microbioguy interprets it, and I believe EVERYONE is privy to this and privy to be saved/translated.
