i want to hook up a pair of rope lights in the interior of my car just for fun but i dont want to get an inverter how can i do this

If they will even work, they will not be as bright. If you want an inverter I have a couple extra Duals and maybe some Singles I would give to you if you pay for shipping. The inverters are about 1 year old and taken off our show car last winter and replaced with new ones this year.

Rope lights are 110v AC. You need an inverter, they won't work right on 12v DC

Hook them up to 12 volt,and they should be 1/10th as bright.
