To those who (like me) don't report - you can grab your two points by saying "I don't report" by all means, but I'm really aiming this at those who do.

Reporting out of spite gives you cancer!

Some of you seem to think this is about me - well thankfully for some reason I get very few violations so I don't suppose I'm reported very often. But there are people here who are obviously targetted by malicious stalkers and they've had their accounts repeatedly deleted as a result. And that annoys me.

LOL Actually I've never reported anyone but that's a good point. Why ask a question if all you want to hear is what you believe already. I thought asking a question was to gain more knowledge regardless if you liked the answer or not. But also that is there right to report someone...I may not agree with reporting oh well...

If your answer uses profanity or if you refer to anyone as a "moron, idiot, jerk, etc." I believe this is unacceptable. I have never reported someone that said something against me, but when I see them (even who agree with my general views) putting someone down as a person, I don't like that. I have only reported one person ever who was both calling someone a deragatory term and cursing at them at the same time. I think whatever we believe/do not believe or agenda we have, we should be slow to use that button. The mean spirited comments of people and the reporting of people both cuts a person at the other computer reading it.

The thumbs up or down is a good way to share your opinion, reporting should be used for true problems only.

I only report those who use inappropriate language or hate language. I've never reported someone just for disagreeing with me. So I don't feel any shame for reporting someone. But anyone who does report someone just for having a different opinion should open their minds to God's wisdom and search things out to see who is right. We all can learn from each other. Some just choose not to learn.

I have yet to report anyone. even though I have strongly disagreed with some people's veiws. And some people's use of this forum simply to bad mouth other religions or convert people to their religon. I still have not reported anyone and probably will not report anyone.

Thanks for 2 points

I think this question applies to all sections.
I do not report for differences of opinion. As a matter of fact, I have learned things from people with different points of view and it helps me to grow and learn.
Those who report others who don't agree, they will have that on their conscience and have to deal with it. I think it shows they have not reached a decent level of maturity and acceptance.

Nope this is incorrect...... i choose Y!A would banish this reporting element, or enable you recognize WHO suggested you and why. i assume the reporting for no longer something would end surprisingly quickly than! (i do no longer document in many cases.... purely whilst a question is fairly offensive i will, i does no longer be ashamed or recommendations if the guy i suggested knew i grew to become into the only to attain this and why). Peace, Tiffy

I have never reported you. I am interested in what you have to say. I might not agree. We all are different. I think that make life very interesting here.

I only report pornographic avatars or rude violations of the guidelines.

I only report for offensive language/explicit content/racist remarks, etc. If I don't agree with someone, the worst I would do is give thumbs down. People should be allowed to state their opinions even if they disagree with me...as long as they can do it respectfully. If they can't, then they don't have the maturity to be on this forum. (Unfortunately they keep returning.)

Actually, reporting out of spite lowers your credibility. I only report people who violate Community Standards. And even then, it's got to be pretty blatant.

I don't have that guilt as first of all I don't come to this section all that much and second of all I don't report anybody for having a diiferent point of view or opinion then mines. Have a good day my friend. I hope you calm down and feel happier later.
