Yes. She is the founder of the Seventh Day Adventists. I attended a SDA high school and had to learn all about her.

She saw a vision of the 10 commandments and a light around the 4th commandment...to remember the sabbath day and keep it holy. Hence "Seventh Day Adventists" she also said it's wrong to wear jewelry, eat meat, smoke, drink alcohol....

She got her visions after she was hit in the head by a rock a classmate through. It knocked her unconscious. According to what I was taught she heard a growling sound just before the rock was thrown or just after she came too...I can't remember. But I do remember thinking that was rather odd. After this incident she started to have visions.

She never finished school. Her actual writings are crazy looking. They are scrawled and difficult to decipher. Horrible spelling and grammar. The elders of the church have published her writings after carefully filling in, fixing and deleting a lot.

Yes, she is the false prophet that formed the Seventh Day Adventist religion. Stay away from her books and the SDAs.

To understand more about the SDA religion, false prophet Ellen White, and why the SDA church should be avoided, read this: http://www.lamblion.com/pdf/2006/Lamplighter-042006.pdf

The fact that God has revealed His will to men through His Word, has not rendered needless the continued presence and guiding of the Holy Spirit. On the contrary, the Spirit was promised by our Saviour to open the Word to His servants, to illuminate and apply its teachings” (The Great Controversy, p. vii).

Yes my friend,
She lived in the latter half of the 19th. century.I just read someone's book about her.You should read up or study about the 7th. day adventist church as well as one of its founders ,a man named pastor Miller. The book I read probably was written by a S.Day adventist person and may have been biased. I don't think she really was a prophet from God.

Yes, she was a true prophet. She saw over 2,000 dreams over her lifetime and is the most translated non-fiction American female author in the history of literature. You can find out more about her by visiting the website http://www.07revive.com/Default.aspx?tabid=124 and clicking on the title "Messenger for a Movement."

The amount of reverence of her and her work is a little concerning to other Christian denominations. There is no book like the Bible.

Every Seventh Day Adventist member has. (And some of us who aren't have, simply because we're curious about learning about other faith traditions.)
