Why is the first question I ask on here immediately answered by someone who can't help but be rude to me? It was a completely innocent question, and now I just cant help but feel wary of using this site. When will people learn to grow up?

Someone asked where the other question I asked was; I deleted it because it offended me. Sorry about that, perhaps I should have left it up.

Don't let it bother you.

People are going to say whatever they want because they can get away with it.

And whenever you ask a question or answer one there's always gonna be some rude moron putting in their two cents.

So just expect it and don't take it personal.

I know it's frustrating, but most of the people on this site really want to help. You will get some ignorant people on here that won't take your questions seriously, or will give you serious attitude.

At the risk of sound rude, and/or inappropriate, I feel that some people are offended by answers that they don't necessarily agree with, or that they just don't want to hear. I'm not sure what the circumstances were surrounding the situation you're concerned about though.

That being said though, there are times when answers are completely out of left field. If people aren't going to answer a question seriously, then they need not answer at all.

I just looked at your profile to see the question you asked that people gave rude responses to so I could get more information. However, THIS is the only question you've asked. Do you have another profile?

EDIT: OH! Ok, I understand. As others have said, don't let it bother you. People like that think they're powerful because they can say such things behind the security of a computer and the keyboard. Keep asking questions! It gets better!

Did you change your user id? I looked you up and the only question you asked was this one....are you projecting a feeling rather than a fact? If this is your only question and the two people who answered seemed nice - then I don't understand how someone was rude to you? If i'm being rude, I apologize, but I'm confused and this question seems out of place.

I completely understand where you are coming from. That happened to me a few weeks ago when I had a question about a sick fish of mine. If you felt it was incredibly rude and offensive, I would have suggested reporting abuse on them. Otherwise, I would just let you know that with a website like this (with thousands of people coming together for the betterment of the community) people like that are expected. Don't take it personally. They just try to belittle people by offending everyone around them.

EDIT: Look on the bright side. If they keep answering like that, their futures on this website are limited. And, to quote the great optimist, Thumper, "If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all." (Compliments of Bambi)

Well, convenient that you deleted the question so no one else can actually see what happened.
You think rude people need to grow up? How about you learning not to take things from people who don't know you, will never know you and couldn't care less about you so personally?
If you think this is rude, fine. I'll say you're too weak to be in a forum like this.

**Actually, Becca, that's not "thumper" it was thumper's MOM who said that.

Some because they are immature and feel safe doing so on an anonymous site.

OTOH, some mistake honesty for rudeness. Don't ask a question if you don't want honest answers.

People are going to be rude, just ask your questions and be sure not to vote these people for best answer. Ignore the bad answers and just focus on the ones that are coherent and pertinent.

I agree, Unfortunatley there are losers who feel smart*** remarks will make themselves feel high and mighty. The majority of them wouldn't dare in person! That says a lot about them, I know i get those rude people too. I wouldn't care there are always people who are nice and care to answer. Don't let the scum bring you down. Peace.

I think you are a whining complainer. It doesn't show you have asked any other questions than this one. BOO HOO, get a life girly-girl. NO sympathy for you at all.

And this isn't your claim to fame, so if you don't have a legitmate question, just answer some of the others if you know enough to do that.
