I love kids, but I would encourage having them in daycare a couple days a week:
- Having some 'adult' time is really important to your sanity. It means that the time you do spend with them will be more effective (quality over quantity)
- After your kid is older and you decide to go back full time, it will be easier because you have a continuous employment record.
- Socialization skills for you baby (and for you in a way)
- You will exposure them to diseases, it sounds bad, but will actually make them healthier in the long run

That's a tough one.
It sounds like you have a pretty good set up working just two days and you may enjoy getting away and out of the house for a bit each week.
You could also look for someone to come into your home considering how young your baby is. When my first son was born we had someone come in two days a week to help out. I worked a 4/40 so I had Fridays off and my husband had Mondays off - grandma watched him one day as well. But after my second was born I quit working altogether.
Whatever you decide it'll be just fine.

I think working 2 days a week is ideal. Being a stay at home mom is wonderful, but if you are always stressed out about money issues it is sometimes better to work. If you can just work 2 days a week you get the best of both worlds. You get to spend most of your time with your baby, but still have a little me time plus the part time work can ease the financial stress of staying at home.

The time away will do you and your child good. My 3 month old is better off being with others once in a while, I work 20 hrs. a week and it's a break for me.

Will it end up costing you more money to go to work than you woul make going to work? i.e. the cost for work clothes, lunches and transpotation add up.
If you are going back for the social aspect fo working then I would say great, go ahead. Plus it's good for your baby to have social interactions with other peers her age.

2 days a week is nothing. It will be a great break for you and a bit of a learning experience for your little one. Good luck with your decision.
