Go find it.

I have a husky so he is bound to run away, he has gotten out twice but he just runs to the neighbours to see their dog. Good thing cause he is quick. But I run after him with mikebones and he comes home cause he loves food! If he ran away when I wasn't home, I prolly would never see him again because alot of people would keep him if he was loose instead of looking for the owners.

Well, last time my dog wandered, someone picked him up.. he's got id on him .. (the first time he did it he pulled off his collar)

I have fliers already made up and put in his file, I have the numbers for vector control as well as the humane society and his vet set into my cell phone.. and I walk him regularly and keep him social.. so my neighbors for the most part know him.. and as soon as I can manage to have a day off when they are doing microchipping locally I am considering getting that done as well..

So, i grab everything I need and a leash, and walk the neighborhood.. focusing on places that have other animals.. (since he's a hound he focuses on smell... and tracks things.. ).. but, he doesn't get out when I'm here.. only when someone else lets him out.. they let him out without watching him and he can climb the fence.. , but they are learning.

I'd cry, I love my dog almost more than anything. We have 3 and I love all of them with all my heart. And I would cry, especially if MY dog ran away(we have 3, 2 are my moms, one is mine). I'd be so depressed, I don't think I'd get over it for months.

Pray pray pray that he is returned to me. Cry my eyes out, loose my mind. GO daily to the shelters and the pounds to look for myself.Hang posters everywhere. He's micro chipped, neutered and I don't know how he'd get away cause I'm very cautious so don't think it could happen. But hypothetically if he did, I'd hunt the streets, back yards. And cry!! When I did find him I'd make sure that it didn't happen again.

I would make a police report make posters with a picture of the doggie, and get some friends to help you look to the doggie go 2 places where you may think the doggie is at? Usually they stay in the area where you live. Also talk to people in your area and ask them the best people to ask are kids cause they are always outside. Trust me it worked for me. You could put posters in your local store or in grocery stores in your area.

Cry like crazy, they are like my children. Get in the car and look everywhere, put up posters and call the shelter to see if he has been taken there and make sure I tell them the dog has an owner otherwise it would be put down.

Put their bed/crate out on the front porch so that they can go to bed when they wander back in the middle of the night. That way they won't wander off again before I get up in the AM.

Did yours run away? If so, please add details so we can advise.

If your Q is as written, there are a lot of things I WOULD do if my dogs got out, but I've taken many precautionary measures to ensure that they don't.
