Is there a preferred way we should be drinking our coffee?

Sorry, can't stand the taste of coffee. For me, it's Tea. Preferably Iced. Little Lemon and Sweetener and a mix with a spoon. Bottoms up!

There is only one True Coffee, and that is espresso. All other coffees are only the True Coffee with pointless extras attatched. They detract from the Trueness of the coffee, and are therefore heresies that must be discarded. Milk, sugar, cream, chocolate, everything. Double espressos are good, but they are only for the devout.

Yes. The cream must go into the cup before the coffee, assuming that you use cream. Sugar does not belong in coffee - using it is an abomination, and will result in your eternal demise. Brandy, whiskey, and Bailey's are acceptable additives, particularly for use in the morning when a drinking question has been asked.
If you intend to drink coffee while philosophizing, the coffee must be black. Neither cream nor sugar is acceptable in that situation.
I hate to dignify the practice by even mentioning it, but whipped cream does not belong anywhere near coffee. There is no reason for any place referring to itself as a "coffee shop" to have whipped cream in stock.
References to coffee must be kept reverent, though one may joke about one's addiction to coffee.

I think the only consistent view on coffee is that is should have a coffee-flavored base. After that, you can have it how you like - hot, cold, with cream, without, sugared, without, decaff, ...
