A cup is a cup is a cup....
A cup is about 150 milliliters or 150 gr of water.
A cup of salt is fewer grams than a cup of iron. You can`t tell how many grams exactly a cup is without knowing what to measure. Just take a cup, fill it with whatever the recipe tells You to use and it should work out or use about 150 milliliters of whatever You need

I bought a glass measuring cup (pyrex) and it has both measurements on both sides. ( I already see you have the conversions) but get one that has both.
