I think that in a very basic but a very real sense, the purpose of each of us is to continue our species, so I justify my existence with my son. That is not to say that people who don't have or want kids have no justification for their existence. I just mean it as an overall purpose for us collectively.

As individuals, we can justify our existence by pointing out all the positive things we have done for our species and our planet, and that includes every life form on Her.

Bright Blessings,

This is a good question.

I have thought about this for a couple of hours and still have the same answer.

After being sober for a while I counted back how many times I should have died!

12 times < interesting!

from illness as a baby to - well I will not get into personal history here - but many times most of them while out there and being in the wrong place at the wrong moment.

God's will. So there you go. No one can take that away period - we may not be able to see our purpose or even past this minute but we have one or we would not be alive.

Sometimes pain motivates change. Sometimes change comes about in "a moment of clarity".

Both of these are little awakenings - spiritual insights.
many of these come along the way...
"as a result of these Step", no steps - no experience"

Usually these culmulate in an experience. We did not get sick overnight and we do not get well overnight.

On purpose:

I could give a whole lot of convoluted and poetic rationalizations, but my only real justification for my existence is that I want it. It's mine and I won't let anyone take it away. Selfish, isn't it? But when I look at my existence objectively as just part of the big picture, my existence really isn't necessary. I'm totally expendable.

I am giving to Him, by giving to others...like you. I am happy to have served Him at church, at home, and in the world!

Jesus shocked his followers when He said "If you have done it unto the least of these, you've done it unto ME!"

I serve my Lord as best I can. Faith is an adventure, that has brought me greater union with the Father, and an opportunity to spread the good news!

Faith is an oasis in the heart which can never be reached by the caravan of thinking. I know my Lord is alive in me!

Faith is the courage of the soul to face the unknown. But that courage springs from the hope and confidence of the soul that its adventure will succeed.

I think. I have self-awareness. I justify my own life by simply existing.

Why would I have to justify my existance? I don't justify it, I just exist. Thats enough. Its the bloody Christians that try to justify their existance as though they're reassuring themselves that its ok to be blind.
