Thank you ara57, although there is no water in the photo, i did remove the green dot.

And coloringbk, i did like the green idea better than the black and white, but i decided to lighten the hue of green, as i was going for more of a glow to the entire picture to pick up the force of the light, so hopefully I've gotten a mix of the better qualities of the other two, what do you think?

I just got my photo shop program and this is really the first thing I've done with it.

I love what you have done with the black and white version. Good luck.

I disagree. The black and white one, though its good, shows cliche photo-manipulation. Its been done. I'd keep the green one. Its unique and keeps the eye looking throughout the picture, interpreting all that its seeing. The black and white one shows obvious emphasis, but once my eye saw it, I didn't want to look at the other parts of the image.
Nice photos! Keep the green one.

Another vote for the black and white. The selective color makes the image pop more. The green tint makes it look muddy and detracts from the detail.

The black and white is the obvious choice because the contrast of color gives the image more depth and dimension. It pops out at you. The other is not as strong because it is monochromatic and causes the image to look flat.

The black and white is definitely better. What a great picture!

I agree with the B&W, although the manipulation is somewhat in your face. Have you thought about eliminating the green "dot" where the water emerges from the sprinkler? It is really distracting to the overall image.

Good luck.

i like the 1st one greater powerful. The composition is plenty nicer and it supplies off a much greater thrilling vibe. the 2d is nearly "eh." however the 1st one fairly grabs and holds your interest. In a contest, you like some thing that grabs interest and retains it!
