I'm not real sure about West Virginia. Most of the time we have it in Minnesota. Wisconsin has snow too however your always moving those "cheeseheads" they all wear from the trails because they fall off their heads.

Barring any warm spells they should. We looked at going there last December. They said they always plan to be open but with the way things went last year we opted to not go as it is a six-hour drive from where I live.

Like most mid-atlantic resorts, they try to make enough snow so they have a few runs at each level open. Unless it has been below 20 degrees for a lot of nights, don't count on anything reallly good (unless it snows naturally).

Keep calling them, get their projected opening day and ask how many runs they usually have open during christmas week. If it stayed cold the few weeks before, they could very well have a bunch of trails open. It depends on their snowmaking capacity or (PRAY) Real Snow!

usually they have snow, but it never is a sure thing. Last Christmas was probably no good because it was too warm to make much snow and the natural snow was late in coming. I've heard snowshoe has, in the past, given vouchers to people that have reservations at Christmas for them to come when there is snow, but that was before intrawest bought and re-did the place. maybe this year we'll get tons of natural and cold temps to supplement early season snow.

It may or it may not. No ski area has guaranteed snow. Check the forecast, find out the seasonal patterns, and hope.
