I have no problem walking on stones or gravel, I have gone barefoot since I can remember. I just enjoy not wearing shoes and feeling the grass or sand on my feet, I guess they become used to it after years of doing it.

As a child I lived on a ranch in the western US. When school let out for the summer my shoes would come off and I would remain barefoot until fall. At first my feet would be fairly tender but by August or so I could walk on any surface without discomfort. I remember once I had stepped on a thumb tack and walked around all day with it stuck in my heel until my sister asked me what "that silver thing on my foot was." I hadn't even noticed!

i used to, all the time. i once walked through a field of hay stubble. but i burned my soles really bad on hot asphalt, and they were never the same again. i got back to where i could walk on gravel roads without much discomfort, but the past few years i haven't gone barefoot much. a couple days ago i went out into our alley, all gravel, and could only go 1/4 of a block, before i had to come back.

Oh yes, I like gravel and rocky roads better than soft grass or sand. I enjoy noticing how well my feet and body have adapted to rough surfaces!

Not unless you have fantastic calluses! We used to go barefoot all summer and still couldn't walk on gravel.
River rocks, yes.

Depends on how big teh gravel is. The smaller it is, the more it seems to hurt, lol. Gotta build up some calluses though.

Of course so. Having think soles really helps. It just feels funny when rocks get between toes.
